plaster, paint...progress at last.

With 7 more weeks to go we are finally seeing some progress on the baby room and the home improvement projects. The ceiling texture work was completed this week and the rooms are now ready for paint. We had decided on colors for both the baby room and the guest room and tried some samples but they came out darker than we expected. So we did some adjustments to the colors and now we are set to go. This week we have an electrician coming by to hook up some new lights in the room and a new ceiling fan.
Yesterday we went to a day long childbirth class where we learned even more about the process and saw a few videos. We learned a lot at the class, but it also made us a bit more anxious about what to expect. Good thing we had read a lot prior to going so we had a pretty good idea of what to expect. It was funny that out of all the couples at the childbirth class (about 20 or so) there were only two couples (us and someone else) who had not found out the sex of their baby and wanted to be surprised.

I can't wait to see the baby room (& the baby!!!!) Just remember to breathe & bring popsicles to the hospital (much better than ice chips and the nurses' station has a freezer to keep them for you!)
Love you!!

Hi Aunty Laurie and Uncle Kirk,

I just found out about your website. It's "Getto!", my favorite new word that Daddy taught me. I am excited about having a cousin. I hope it is a girl? See you and baby in October.

Love,
Allison
